ImagoAI is on a mission to build the world’s fastest food tests. It is designed to advance the food industry through affordable, faster, better and safer tests.

Who are we?

Shweta and Abhishek founded ImagoAI in 2019 to take advantage of a breakthrough they saw in bringing technology and innovation to food testing.
‍
They realized the food industry lacked rapid and on-site safety & quality tests. For example - absence of such mycotoxin tests restricts testing and allows harmful mycotoxins into the food supply chain.

They built rapid and accurate food safety & quality tests by marrying Hyperspectral Imaging with AI. ImagoAI is disrupting the food testing industry in a similar way the autonomous vehicles are disrupting the automobile industry.

Dr. Chris Maragos

Advisor

Dr. Maragos is a key member of a dedicated team at ARS, pioneering new technologies for detecting fungal toxins (mycotoxins) in commodities and foods. His work aims to enhance toxin detection efficiency, ultimately reducing exposure risks for humans and animals. Dr. Maragos earned his B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology from Cornell University. His prior research at the National Cancer Institute focused on drug discovery of nitric oxide-releasing compounds.

Goran Kukic

Advisor

Goran Kukic is currently SVP Chief Information Officer Health at Reckitt. Previously, he held the position of Chief Innovation Technology Officer at Nestlé, overseeing digital services consumer innovation globally. Before that, he served in various capacities at Nestlé, including Global Head of Digital Services Consumer Innovation and Manager of Business Solutions.

Richard Calk

Advisor

Rick Calk is an accomplished executive with extensive expertise in the food safety and life science industries. As the ex-President and CEO of DSM Food Specialties and the ex-President and Chief Operating Officer at Neogen, Rick has left a significant impact on global markets.
